The Lead Graphic Designer will drive high-quality, brand-consistent creative across e-commerce and digital-marketing channels. The role combines hands-on design with team leadership, ensuring that creative work is delivered on time, meets campaign objectives, and maintains a consistent visual standard.
Role & responsibilities
- Lead the design of e-commerce assets, including website banners, product-detail-page visuals, landing pages, marketplace content, and promotional campaigns.
- Develop creative concepts and translate campaign briefs into explicit visual direction for the design team.
- Create and oversee email marketing creatives, including campaign banners, offer visuals, product sections, and supporting campaign artwork.
- Lead the creation of paid-media assets for Google and social platforms, including campaign variations and adaptations across relevant formats.
- Create and oversee merchandise and print-related artwork, such as packaging, labels, inserts, point-of-sale materials, apparel graphics, and event collateral, as required.
- Allocate work, set priorities, review output, and ensure projects are delivered to agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Mentor and guide junior designers through clear feedback, creative reviews, and practical support.
- Collaborate with marketing, e-commerce, product, content, and CRM teams to deliver effective campaign and business assets.
- Maintain brand consistency across all creative touchpoints, templates, and campaign materials.
- Keep source files, templates, and asset libraries organised to support efficient team collaboration.
Preferred candidate profile
- 5-7 years of graphic-design experience, ideally within e-commerce, retail, consumer brands, digital marketing, or agency environments.
- At least 12 years of experience leading, supervising, or mentoring junior designers, including task allocation, creative feedback, and quality review.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating e-commerce design, paid-media creatives for Google and social platforms, email marketing creatives, and promotional campaign work. Merchandise, packaging, or print examples are an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, with strong working knowledge of Figma.
- Strong understanding of digital design, responsive layouts, typography, colour theory, visual hierarchy, and brand application.
- Working knowledge of creative requirements for paid advertising across Google and social platforms.
- Experience managing multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and working to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication, presentation, organisation, and leadership skills.
