Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer – Python with 4–7 years of professional experience to join our technology team.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Python backend development, REST APIs, databases, and production-level applications. Candidates should also have a basic-to-moderate understanding of Next.js and be comfortable working with frontend teams and making minor frontend changes when required.

The primary focus of this role will be backend development, API development, database management, application performance, and production support.

The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, technical ownership, attention to code quality, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesPython Backend Development

- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable backend applications using Python.
- Develop robust and secure REST APIs and backend services.
- Build business logic and backend modules based on functional and technical requirements.
- Implement authentication, authorization, data validation, and security best practices.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Troubleshoot backend issues and optimize application performance.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Work with existing codebases and contribute to improving application architecture.

Database Management

- Design and maintain efficient database structures.
- Work extensively with MongoDB and other databases as required.
- Develop optimized database queries and data-access layers.
- Ensure data consistency, security, reliability, and performance.
- Identify and resolve database-related performance issues.

API Development & Integration

- Develop,



maintain, and document RESTful APIs.
- Integrate internal and third-party APIs and services.
- Handle API authentication, validation, error handling, and security.
- Ensure APIs are scalable, reliable, and optimized for production use.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth API integration.

Next.js / Frontend Support

- Have a working understanding of Next.js and its application structure.
- Make minor frontend changes or fixes in Next.js/React.js applications when required.
- Work closely with frontend developers to integrate backend APIs with Next.js applications.
- Understand frontend-backend communication and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Support basic UI/API integration and debugging where required.

Note: Strong expertise in Next.js is not required. The primary requirement is strong backend development experience with Python.Testing & Optimization

- Identify and resolve bugs, technical issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Perform testing and debugging before deployment.
- Optimize applications for scalability, speed, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
- Ensure production applications remain reliable and performant.

Deployment & Production Support

- Assist with application deployment and production maintenance.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Work with Git/GitHub and modern development workflows.
- Collaborate with the team to improve development and deployment processes.
- Support application releases, maintenance, and continuous improvements.

Eligibility Criteria

- 4–7 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and backend application development.
- Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience working with production-level applications.
- Good understanding of MongoDB or other databases.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and data validation.




- Working knowledge of Next.js and React.js.
- Ability to make basic frontend changes and troubleshoot API/frontend integration issues.
- Good understanding of software architecture and backend development practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently manage development tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working remotely and during the specified night-shift hours.
