Automation Engineer

About the Role

CDCE Automation & Robotics is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to handle PLC programming, HMI development, electrical control systems, machine integration, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of industrial automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for automation and special-purpose machines.
- Develop and configure HMI applications and machine control interfaces.
- Configure and integrate VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and other automation devices.
- Carry out machine testing, debugging, and commissioning.
- Read and understand electrical and control drawings.
- Troubleshoot automation, control, and communication-related issues.
- Support machine installation and commissioning at customer sites.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and other engineering teams.
- Prepare PLC/HMI backups, documentation, and project records.
- Provide technical support during machine trials and customer commissioning.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in EEE, ECE, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in industrial automation.




- Hands-on experience in PLC and HMI programming.
- Good knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and industrial control systems.
- Ability to read electrical and control schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, or Delta PLCs.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, or other industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with SPM, robotics, and special-purpose machines.
- Knowledge of servo and motion-control systems.
- Basic knowledge of robot integration is an advantage.
