A Commis 1 (or First Commis) is the most senior level of junior chefs in a professional kitchen. Operating right above Commis 2 and 3, they are responsible for running specific kitchen stations, preparing high-quality ingredients, and helping senior chefs like the Chef de Partie (CDP) or Sous Chef.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree, diploma, or certification in Culinary Arts is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of active culinary experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or 4/5-star hotel.
