Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and certified Senior Network Engineer with 4–7 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure, Cisco technologies, network security, and troubleshooting.

The candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. The role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to handle network incidents, infrastructure changes, and operational requirements independently.

CCNA and CCNP certifications are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and Wireless network infrastructure.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches.
- Configure and manage Cisco firewalls and other network security devices.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using network monitoring tools.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity, routing, switching, and performance issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
- Configure and manage VLANs, IP addressing, subnetting, ACLs, and VPNs.
- Implement network security measures to protect network infrastructure and services.
- Perform network upgrades, configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure network infrastructure remains highly available, reliable, secure, and scalable.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation,



including network diagrams, IP address management, device configurations, and change records.
- Work closely with IT, security, and other technical teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Participate in incident management and provide timely support during network outages and emergencies.
- Participate in on-call/after-hours support when required.
- Follow established network security, change-management, and operational procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve network performance, reliability, and security.
- Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

- 4–7 years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering.
- CCNA certification – Mandatory.
- CCNP certification – Mandatory.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
- Strong knowledge of:
- TCP/IP
- VLANs
- IP addressing and subnetting
- Routing and switching
- OSPF
- EIGRP
- BGP
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and ACLs.
- Experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of network security principles.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents.





Preferred Skills

- Knowledge or hands-on experience with SD-WAN.
- Exposure to AWS and/or Microsoft Azure networking.
- Knowledge of MPLS, QoS, and VoIP technologies.
- Experience with network automation or scripting using Python and/or Ansible.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale network infrastructure.
- Knowledge of network availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.

This is an urgent requirement for 1 Senior Network Engineer in Tanzania.

Candidates with 4–7 years of relevant experience, mandatory CCNA and CCNP certifications, and immediate availability to join are preferred.
