Key Responsibilities

Carry out Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection of fabricated components and

assemblies.

Inspect fabrication processes including Laser Cutting, Shearing, Bending, Drilling, Welding,

Grinding and Assembly.

Verify dimensions, tolerances, bend angles, hole locations, squareness, flatness and

workmanship as per approved drawings.

Inspect welding quality, weld size, visual defects and fabrication workmanship.

Read and understand Mechanical Drawings, BOM and specifications.

Prepare and maintain QC inspection reports, check sheets and quality records.

Identify and control non-conforming products; raise NCR and coordinate for corrective action/

rework.

Support RCA, CAPA, Kaizen and 5S activities for quality improvement.

Ensure compliance with approved Quality Plans, SOPs and Work Instructions.

Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams for resolution of fabrication quality issues.

Required Skills





Good knowledge of sheet-metal fabrication and mechanical inspection.

Hands-on experience in welding, laser cutting, bending and fabrication inspection.

Ability to use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Measuring Tape, Welding Gauge,

etc.

Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand dimensional tolerances.

Basic knowledge of NCR, 5 Why, CAPA and ISO 9001.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 2–4 years in Mechanical QC / Fabrication QC, preferably in sheet-metal fabrication, electrical panels/enclosures or industrial fabrication.

Important: Candidate should have hands-on shop-floor fabrication QC experience
