- Scrap & Wastage Tracking: Audit production line wastage, melting loss (in casting parts), and scrap generation to detect operational leaks. [1]

2. Inventory & Stock Governance

- Perpetual Inventory Verification: Conduct periodic physical stock verifications of raw materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and finished goods at the plant. [1, 2]
- Goods Receipt Note (GRN) Matching: Validate GRN records against purchase orders (POs) and vendor invoices before releasing payments.
- Slow-Moving Stock Analysis: Identify obsolete or slow-moving auto components (e.g., outdated dies, components for legacy vehicle models) to calculate provisions. [1]

3. Plant Accounting & Operations (P2P & R2R)

- Accounts Payable (AP) & Vendor Management: Handle the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle for ancillary suppliers, logistics vendors, and raw material providers. [1]
- Fixed Asset Tracking: Maintain the Plant & Machinery register, tracking capitalization of expensive manufacturing tools,



robotic arms, or stamping dies. [1]
- Month-End Book Closure: Record manufacturing overhead adjustments, job work costs, and power/utility expenses to finalize the trial balance. [1, 2]

4. Direct & Indirect Taxation Compliance

- GST Compliance: Prepare data for GST returns, generate E-Way bills for moving auto parts across states, and reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) with GSTR-2B.
- TDS/TCS Deductions: Deduct and deposit accurate TDS on contractor payments (like job-work, packaging, and freight) and vendor invoices.
- Customs Coordination: Help compile documentation for imported machinery components or raw steel alloys to ensure accurate custom duty treatment. [1, 2]

5. Plant MIS & Audit Coordination

- Plant Performance MIS: Prepare monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports capturing the Gross Margin per automotive part, plant capacity utilization, and logistics costs.
- Audit Readiness: Build audit schedules for statutory, internal, and cost auditors, serving as the frontline contact for resolving plant-level accounting queries
