Lead – TFT Hardware

Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of TFT/LCD display hardware for automotive Instrument Cluster and related products.
- Define hardware architecture, circuit concepts, interfaces and technical specifications based on system and customer requirements.
- Lead schematic design/review, component selection, PCB design review and hardware implementation activities.
- Define and review safety and cybersecurity strategies, plans, processes and work products.
- Develop and integrate TFT display interfaces, display controllers, power supplies, backlight and touch-related circuits.
- Perform hardware calculations, design analysis and component derating to ensure robust product performance.
- Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, validation and issue resolution during prototype and product development stages.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal performance and display performance.
- Coordinate with System Engineering, Software, Mechanical, PCB, Validation, Quality, Sourcing and Manufacturing teams.
- Support prototype builds, design verification, reliability testing and product validation activities.
- Drive DFMEA, DFM/DFA, APQP, PPAP and engineering change activities for TFT hardware.
- Coordinate with suppliers for TFT panels, display components, ICs, PCB/PCBA and other hardware components.
- Review customer requirements and participate in technical discussions and design reviews.
- Mentor hardware engineers and provide technical guidance on TFT/display hardware development.
- Drive continuous improvement in display performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech. Electronics / ECE / Electrical / Mechatronics
Experience
8-12 Years
Technical Details
- Strong experience in TFT/LCD display hardware design and development for automotive applications
- Hands-on experience in TFT display modules, display controllers, interface circuits and power supply design
- Valuable knowledge of display interfaces such as LVDS, MIPI DSI, RGB and SPI/I2C
- Experience in hardware circuit design, schematic capture, component selection and PCB design/review
- Knowledge of power management, DC-DC converters, LDOs and power sequencing for display systems
- Understanding of display backlight, LED driver circuits, touch interface and display-related electronics
- Good knowledge of EMC/EMI, signal integrity and thermal considerations in TFT hardware design
- Experience with hardware debugging and validation using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter and other laboratory tools
- Knowledge of automotive electronics standards, component qualification and reliability testing
- Familiarity with DFMEA, DFM/DFA, APQP and PPAP processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and team leadership skills
