About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to manage the company’s accounting activities and support day-to-day financial operations. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, handling statutory requirements, preparing reports, and coordinating with the accounts team.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in GST, TDS, invoicing, reconciliations, expense management, and general accounting, along with familiarity with Zoho accounting applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily accounting entries and financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare and verify invoices, purchase bills, and other financial documents.
- Handle GST-related accounting, reconciliation, and filing requirements.
- Manage TDS-related activities and ensure timely compliance.
- Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, receivables, and payables.
- Track outstanding payments and follow up on receivables and payables.
- Prepare monthly accounting and financial reports for management review.
- Review accounting records and supporting documents for accuracy.
- Coordinate with the junior accounts team and other departments for required financial information.




- Guide and review the work handled by junior members of the accounts team.
- Maintain proper documentation and organised financial records.
- Assist management with financial reports, reconciliations, and other accounting requirements.
- Ensure accounting activities are carried out according to company procedures and applicable regulations.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounting, preferably in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of GST and TDS.
- Experience with Zoho Books or other Zoho applications will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of general accounting, invoicing, purchases, sales, and expenses.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Valuable numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prepare and interpret monthly financial reports.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with the accounts team.
