This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can go beyond accounting and bring financial rigour, commercial understanding and decision-making support to a growing real estate organisation.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop financial models and business plans for existing and upcoming projects.
- Provide management with actionable insights on profitability, margins, cash flows and returns.

- Ensure adequate liquidity for project development and operational requirements.
- Establish strong controls around fund utilisation and payment approvals.
Project Finance
- Track project-wise revenue, costs, commitments and profitability.
- Monitor project budgets against actual expenditure.

- Support project feasibility and investment evaluation.
MIS & Management Reporting
- Establish and drive timely, accurate and meaningful monthly MIS.
- Develop project-wise and company-level dashboards covering revenue, costs, collections, cash flow and profitability.
- Present financial performance and key variances to the founders/leadership team.
- Identify financial risks and areas requiring corrective action.
Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee accounting, audit and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely statutory, tax and regulatory compliances.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks and other financial institutions.
- Strengthen financial policies, processes and internal controls.
Business Partnering
- Work closely with the founders, sales, projects, legal and operations teams.
- Bring financial discipline into commercial and operational decision-making.
- Review major contracts, commitments and commercial proposals from a financial perspective.
- Support leadership with scenario planning and data-backed decision making.
What We Are Looking For
- 10–15 years of relevant finance experience, preferably with real estate, infrastructure, construction or project-based businesses.
- CA preferred; MBA Finance / equivalent qualifications may also be considered.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, cash flow, MIS, budgeting, taxation, accounting and controls.
- Experience in project-level financial management and profitability tracking.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to work directly with founders/senior leadership.
- Strong ownership, integrity and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment where processes are continuously being built and improved.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who can build the finance function, not just manage accounts.
The ideal candidate will be commercially sharp, hands-on and comfortable asking the right questions around where money is being spent, when it will come back, what each project is actually earning, and what financial decisions will enable the business to scale sustainably.
If you enjoy building systems, bringing financial clarity to business decisions and working closely with leadership in a high-growth environment, we would like to hear from you.
