Chief Technology Officer (CTO) — ETDOX

ETDOX is [one-line description of what the company does / problem it solves]. We're looking for a hands-on CTO to own our technology vision and build the engineering foundation for our next phase of growth.

Role Overview

As CTO, you will lead all technical strategy and execution at ETDOX — from architecture decisions to team building. You'll work closely with the founding team to translate business goals into a scalable, secure, and reliable technology roadmap, while staying hands-on with code and infrastructure in the early stages.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own the overall technology vision, architecture, and roadmap
- Make key build vs. buy decisions on infrastructure, tools, and platforms
- Design and oversee development of core products and systems
- Hire, mentor, and lead the engineering team as the company scales
- Ensure system reliability, security, scalability, and performance
- Own technical due diligence for fundraising and partnerships
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies relevant to the business
- Set engineering best practices: code quality, testing, CI/CD, documentation
- Manage technical budget and vendor/infrastructure costs
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and business teams to align tech with company strategy




- Represent ETDOX in technical conversations with investors, partners, and clients

Requirement

- Proven experience building and scaling products from 0→1 (startup experience strongly preferred)
- Strong full-stack technical background (specify: web/mobile/backend/cloud as relevant)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and modern DevOps practices
- Track record of hiring and managing engineering teams
- Strong understanding of system design, security, and data privacy best practices
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited resources typical of an early-stage company

Nice to Have

- Prior experience as a founder or early technical hire at a startup
- Domain knowledge in [ETDOX's specific industry — fintech, MSME tech, compliance, etc.]
- Experience raising or supporting fundraising rounds from a technical standpoint
