Position Summary

The Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely operation of the Company's delivery vehicles used for transporting Indira Dairy products to retailers, distributors, and other customers. The Driver must ensure safe driving, proper vehicle handling, timely route completion, and compliance with Company procedures.

Key Responsibilities1. Vehicle Operation

- Safely operate the assigned light/medium-duty delivery vehicle.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules.
- Drive responsibly and comply with all applicable traffic rules and regulations.
- Ensure timely arrival at customer locations and return to the Company premises as scheduled.

2. Delivery Support

- Support the Sales/Van Sales team in loading and unloading dairy products.
- Ensure products are handled carefully during transportation.
- Assist in ensuring that products reach customers in proper condition.
- Coordinate with the Van Salesman regarding route and delivery requirements.

3. Vehicle Maintenance

- Conduct basic daily checks of the vehicle before starting the route.
- Check fuel, tyres, brakes, lights, oil, coolant, and other essential items.
- Immediately report vehicle defects, breakdowns, accidents, or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition.

4. Documentation & Records

- Maintain vehicle-related registers and documents as instructed.
- Record odometer readings at the time of departure and return.
- Maintain fuel and other vehicle records as required.




- Report any discrepancy, damage, accident, or unusual vehicle condition immediately.

5. Safety & Compliance

- Follow Company vehicle and safety procedures.
- Ensure safe parking and handling of the vehicle during deliveries.
- Avoid rash or negligent driving.
- Do not use the vehicle for unauthorized personal purposes.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding Company routes, customers, products, and business information.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Valid LMV Driving Licence – mandatory.
- Prior experience in delivery/LMV driving is preferred.
- Experience with FMCG, dairy, food products, or distribution vehicles will be an advantage.
- Positive knowledge of roads and distribution routes in Thiruvananthapuram.
- Safe and responsible driving habits.
- Basic vehicle knowledge and ability to identify common vehicle issues.
- Physically fit to assist with loading/unloading.
- Reliable, punctual, and disciplined.
- Willingness to work early morning shifts.
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
