Digital Marketing & Growth Specialist

Company: TestOwl
Location: Ahmedabad / Remote
Experience: 2–5 years
Employment Type: Full-time

About TestOwl

TestOwl is a no-code test automation platform that helps engineering and QA teams automate regression testing without the overhead of writing and maintaining test scripts.

We’re looking for a hands-on Digital Marketing & Growth Specialist who can own TestOwl’s growth across SEO, AEO, GEO, content, LinkedIn, backlinks, performance marketing, and demand generation.

This is not a role where you simply manage agencies or post content. You will own execution, experimentation, and measurable growth.

What You'll Own

1. SEO & Organic Growth

- Own and execute TestOwl’s overall SEO strategy.
- Conduct keyword research and identify high-intent keywords and content opportunities.
- Optimize website pages, landing pages, blogs, documentation, and product pages.
- Build topic clusters and topical authority around software testing, QA automation, test automation, and related topics.
- Handle technical SEO including indexing, crawlability, internal linking, schema, site structure, Core Web Vitals, etc.
- Monitor rankings, organic traffic, signups, demos, and conversions.
- Identify opportunities to increase qualified organic traffic and pipeline.

2. AEO & GEO

- Develop strategies to improve TestOwl’s visibility across AI-powered search and answer engines.
- Optimize content for Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other emerging discovery platforms.
- Identify questions and topics where TestOwl should appear as a trusted answer/source.
- Build content around search intent, entities, topical authority, FAQs, comparisons, and problem-based queries.
- Track TestOwl’s visibility across traditional and AI search.

3. Performance Marketing & Paid Acquisition

- Own TestOwl’s paid acquisition strategy across relevant channels.
- Plan, launch, manage, and optimize campaigns on platforms such as:
- Google Ads
- LinkedIn Ads
- Meta Ads
- Retargeting/display platforms where relevant
- Develop campaigns targeting QA leaders, engineering leaders, CTOs, founders, and other relevant B2B SaaS audiences.
- Build and test different campaign types, audiences, creatives, messaging, landing pages, and offers.
- Manage campaign budgets and allocate spend based on performance.
- Track CAC, CPL, ROAS, conversion rates, signup rates, demo bookings, and pipeline generated.
- Set up retargeting campaigns for website visitors and engaged audiences.
- Continuously experiment with new acquisition channels and campaigns.
- Work closely with the founder to identify and test new growth opportunities.
- Scale campaigns that demonstrate strong unit economics and quickly cut campaigns that don't perform.

4. Content Marketing

- Develop a monthly content strategy based on business goals, search opportunities, customer pain points, and industry trends.
- Create and/or manage high-quality blogs, landing pages, comparison pages, use cases, guides, and other content.
- Create content targeting QA leaders, engineering leaders, CTOs, founders, and software teams.
- Repurpose long-form content into LinkedIn posts, carousels, videos, and other formats.
- Turn product insights, customer conversations,

and industry trends into helpful content.

5. LinkedIn & Social Media

- Own TestOwl’s LinkedIn content strategy.
- Create, schedule, and publish content consistently.
- Create:
- Text posts
- Single-image posts
- Carousels
- Short videos
- Product-led content
- Founder-led content
- Educational content
- Industry commentary
- Experiment with hooks, formats, topics, and posting frequency.
- Track reach, engagement, profile visits, website traffic, signups, and leads generated.
- Support LinkedIn paid campaigns when required.

6. Backlinks & Digital PR

- Develop and execute a sustainable backlink acquisition strategy.
- Identify relevant websites, publications, blogs, directories, communities, and industry platforms.
- Conduct outreach for guest posts, partnerships, resource links, product listings, and other legitimate link-building opportunities.
- Build relationships within QA, software testing, DevTools, engineering, and SaaS communities.
- Monitor backlink quality and identify opportunities to improve domain authority.
- Avoid spammy or black-hat SEO practices.

7. Growth & Conversion Optimization

- Analyze the complete funnel from impression → click → website visit → signup → demo → customer.
- Identify drop-offs and opportunities to improve conversion rates.
- Run A/B tests on landing pages, CTAs, messaging, forms, and campaigns.
- Experiment with different acquisition channels, content formats, offers, and audiences.
- Continuously improve CAC, conversion rates, activation, and lead quality.

8. Analytics & Reporting

- Set up and monitor Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, ad platform analytics, and other relevant tools.
- Build clear reporting around:
- Organic traffic
- Paid traffic
- Keyword rankings
- Leads
- Signups
- Demo bookings
- CAC
- CPL
- ROAS
- Conversion rates
- Backlinks
- LinkedIn performance
- Use data to determine what is working and where to invest more resources.

9. Competitor & Market Research

- Monitor competitors’ SEO, content, paid advertising, backlinks, social media, and positioning.
- Identify content gaps and opportunities TestOwl can own.
- Research emerging trends in software testing, QA automation, AI-generated software, developer tools, and SaaS.
- Identify new channels where potential customers are actively researching solutions.

What We're Looking For

You should be a T-shaped growth marketer — broad enough to understand the complete digital marketing funnel and hands-on enough to execute without depending on agencies.

Must have:

- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, growth marketing, SEO, or B2B SaaS marketing.
- Strong practical SEO knowledge.
- Experience running Google Ads and/or LinkedIn Ads.
- Experience with keyword research and content strategy.
- Experience creating content for LinkedIn.

- Experience with backlink building and outreach.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Understanding of technical SEO.
- Experience with analytics and conversion tracking.
- Ability to analyze campaign and funnel data.
- Solid research and experimentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.

Good to have:

- Experience marketing B2B SaaS or developer-focused products.
- Experience in DevTools, QA, software testing, cybersecurity, or SaaS.
- Experience with AEO/GEO and AI search optimization.
- Experience with Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, GA4, Google Tag Manager, etc.
- Basic design skills using Canva/Figma.
- Basic video editing skills.
- Experience with email marketing and marketing automation.
- Experience with Reddit, Product Hunt, Hacker News, Quora, and relevant online communities.

Who Will Be a Great Fit?

You will be a great fit if you:

- Are hands-on and comfortable executing yourself.
- Can take an idea from research → content/campaign → distribution → measurement → optimization.
- Think beyond traffic and impressions and care about leads, signups, CAC, and revenue.
- Are comfortable managing both organic and paid channels.
- Enjoy experimenting and trying unconventional growth ideas.
- Can write compelling copy.
- Understand that SEO is more than publishing blogs.
- Are curious about how AI is changing search and content discovery.
- Can work independently in a fast-moving startup environment.

What This Role Is NOT

This is not a role for someone whose primary experience is:

- Only managing social media.
- Only writing blogs.
- Only running paid ads without understanding organic growth.
- Managing agencies without hands-on marketing experience.
- Generating large volumes of generic AI-written content.
- Reporting vanity metrics without connecting them to business outcomes.

We need someone who can own TestOwl’s entire digital growth engine.

Success in the First 90 Days

Within the first 90 days, you should be able to:

- Build TestOwl’s SEO, content, AEO/GEO, and paid acquisition strategy.
- Identify our highest-value keywords and growth opportunities.
- Improve important website and landing pages.
- Establish a consistent LinkedIn publishing engine.
- Publish high-quality SEO content consistently.
- Start generating relevant backlinks.
- Launch and optimize initial Google/LinkedIn paid campaigns.
- Establish retargeting and conversion tracking.
- Build clear growth dashboards and reporting.
- Identify measurable improvements in qualified traffic, signups, demos, and pipeline.
