QA & Security Testing Engineer

Aucourant Technologies Private Limited is looking for a detail-oriented QA & Security Testing Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, functionality and basic security of our software products before they are delivered to clients or released to production.

The ideal candidate should be someone who does not just test whether something works, but actively tries to find what can go wrong.

Responsibilities:

- Create detailed test cases and test scenarios based on requirements and user stories.
- Test every major functionality of web and mobile applications before delivery or release.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration and exploratory testing.
- Test new builds carefully and verify that existing functionality has not been affected.
- Identify bugs, usability issues, inconsistencies and edge cases.
- Document bugs clearly with reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, severity and supporting screenshots/logs.
- Retest resolved issues and perform regression testing before final approval.
- Perform basic security testing of applications and APIs.
- Test authentication, authorization, user roles and access controls.
- Look for common security issues such as broken access control, insecure authentication, poor input validation, XSS, SQL injection and insecure APIs.
- Use tools such as Postman, browser Developer Tools and preferably OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite.
- Test APIs for valid, invalid, unexpected and malicious inputs, response handling and authorization.
- Maintain test cases, regression checklists and QA reports.




- Work closely with developers to reproduce, investigate and verify issues.
- Provide a clear QA recommendation before a build is delivered or published.

Requirements:

- Minimum 6 months of practical experience in software QA/testing preferred.
- Robust understanding of manual testing and test case design.
- Experience with functional and regression testing.
- Basic API testing knowledge and familiarity with Postman.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization and access control.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and web application testing.
- Understanding of common security vulnerabilities and OWASP Top 10.
- Ability to use browser Developer Tools for testing and debugging.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a systematic approach to testing.
- Ability to think beyond the happy path and identify edge cases.
- Basic knowledge of Git is preferred.

Candidates with up to 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply. Strong candidates with less experience may also be considered if they demonstrate good practical testing and security fundamentals.

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month
