Corporate Tax Manager

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to manage and oversee the company's corporate taxation, tax compliance, planning, and risk management functions.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indian Direct Taxation, Corporate Tax, GST, International Taxation, Transfer Pricing, Tax Audits, and regulatory compliance, along with a sound understanding of manufacturing and international business transactions.
The candidate will work closely with the Finance, Accounts, Commercial, Export, Legal, and Management teams to ensure tax-efficient business operations and complete compliance with applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities1. Corporate Tax & Direct Taxation
- Manage end-to-end corporate income tax matters of the company.
- Ensure timely compliance with Income Tax Act, TDS/TCS, advance tax, tax returns, assessments, and related filings.
- Review computation of taxable income, deferred tax, tax provisions, and tax liabilities.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and tax authorities.
- Handle income tax assessments, notices, appeals, and related proceedings.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and evaluate their impact on the business.
2. Tax Planning & Advisory
- Develop effective tax planning strategies while ensuring complete legal and regulatory compliance.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and optimize the company's overall tax position.
- Provide tax advice to management on current business initiatives, investments, transactions, and commercial arrangements.
- Evaluate the tax implications of domestic and international transactions.
- Review agreements, contracts, and business structures from a tax perspective.
3. International Taxation & Export Transactions
- Handle tax matters related to exports and international customers/vendors.
- Review withholding tax implications on cross-border payments.
- Advise on Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA) and applicable tax treaties.
- Coordinate on foreign remittances, Form 15CA/15CB, and other applicable compliance.
- Review tax implications of overseas subsidiaries, branches,
investments, or business arrangements, wherever applicable.
4. Transfer Pricing
- Coordinate and oversee transfer pricing compliance for related-party and international transactions.
- Review inter-company transactions and ensure appropriate documentation.
- Coordinate with external consultants for Transfer Pricing documentation, benchmarking, and filings.
- Monitor compliance with applicable transfer pricing regulations.
5. GST & Indirect Tax Coordination
- Oversee and review GST compliance in coordination with the GST/Accounts team.
- Review GST implications on manufacturing, domestic sales, exports, imports, job work, and other transactions.
- Monitor GST reconciliations, input tax credit, refunds, and departmental notices.
- Support the business in resolving complex GST issues and assessments.
6. Manufacturing & Jewellery Industry Taxation
- Review tax implications relating to lab-grown diamonds, jewellery manufacturing, inventory, job work, wastage, production processes, and valuation.
- Ensure proper tax treatment of manufacturing-related expenses and transactions.
- Work with Finance and Production teams to identify tax risks and improve compliance.
- Review tax implications of domestic and international jewellery transactions.
7. Tax Audit, Statutory Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate tax audit and corporate tax-related requirements with auditors.
- Ensure accurate preparation of tax workings, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain proper records for tax assessments and audits.
- Establish processes to minimize tax exposure and compliance risks.
8. MIS, Financial Analysis & Cost Management
- Leverage CMA expertise to analyze cost structures, profitability, margins, working capital, and manufacturing costs.
- Prepare tax-related MIS and management reports.
- Analyze the financial impact of taxation on business decisions.
- Work with the Finance team to improve cost control and financial efficiency.
9. Tax Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Identify potential tax exposures and recommend corrective actions.
- Establish and monitor tax-related internal controls.
- Conduct periodic reviews of transactions to identify compliance gaps.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for significant transactions.
- Keep management informed about significant tax risks and regulatory developments.
10. Team & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with Accounts, Finance, Commercial, Purchase, Sales, Export, Legal, and Operations teams.
- Manage external tax consultants, auditors, and professional advisors.
- Provide tax guidance and training to relevant internal teams.
- Present key tax matters, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
- Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) – Mandatory/Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- Additional qualification in Taxation / International Taxation would be an advantage.
Required Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Taxation, Direct Tax, Finance & Taxation, or a similar role.
- Experience in a manufacturing company is highly preferred.
- Experience with export-oriented businesses, international transactions, or jewellery/diamond manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Strong experience in handling tax assessments, audits, notices, and tax planning.

Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a CA & CMA professional with strong corporate taxation and financial expertise, preferably having experience in a manufacturing/export environment.
The candidate should be capable of acting as a tax advisor to management, while also taking ownership of day-to-day tax compliance, tax planning, assessments, international taxation, and tax-risk management.
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
