Maintenance Electrician & Plumber – Hotel

Job Summary

We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician & Plumber to join our hotel engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical and plumbing systems throughout the hotel, restaurant, guest rooms, kitchen, and other operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine inspection and maintenance of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Attend and resolve electrical and plumbing breakdowns and maintenance complaints.
- Maintain electrical panels, DBs, wiring, MCBs, switches, sockets, lights, motors, pumps, and other electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
- Maintain water pipelines, valves, taps, sanitary fittings, drainage systems, water tanks, pumps, and hot-water systems.
- Attend water leakage, blocked drains, pipe damage, faulty taps, flush systems, and other plumbing issues.
- Handle maintenance requirements in guest rooms, bathrooms, restaurant, kitchen, offices, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per the hotel maintenance schedule.
- Respond promptly to guest-room and operational maintenance complaints.
- Assist with maintenance of kitchen equipment, exhaust systems, HVAC-related electrical systems, pumps, and other hotel utilities.
- Maintain records of repairs, breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and spare-parts requirements.
- Follow all electrical, plumbing, fire, and workplace safety procedures.




- Use appropriate PPE, tools, and equipment while carrying out maintenance work.
- Report major faults, unsafe conditions, and material requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor/Head.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, F&B;, Kitchen, Security, and other departments.
- Support the engineering team during emergency breakdowns.

Requirements

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Plumbing, or related technical field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in electrical/plumbing maintenance preferred.
- Hotel, resort, restaurant, hospital, commercial building, or facility maintenance experience will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of electrical wiring, panels, MCBs, motors, pumps, and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of plumbing, pipelines, valves, sanitary fittings, drainage, and water-supply systems.
- Basic knowledge of hotel engineering equipment and utilities.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
