Role Overview

We're looking for someone who doesn't just use social media — they understand it. As a Social Media Intern, you will manage and grow assigned social media pages across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and X (Twitter). Your job won't simply be to upload posts — you'll understand what makes content work, create content around those insights, publish consistently, track performance, and actively grow the pages.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage assigned social media pages across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X (Twitter), and other platforms
- Create, edit, and publish engaging content — Reels, Shorts, posts, carousels, and videos
- Develop content ideas based on trends, audience interests, viral formats, and platform behaviour
- Identify opportunities to increase views, reach, followers/subscribers, and engagement
- Monitor page performance and understand which formats, topics, hooks, and posting strategies work
- Experiment with content formats and strategies to improve organic performance
- Write captions, hooks, titles, descriptions, and hashtags
- Maintain a consistent content calendar and publishing schedule
- Edit content using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools




- Create thumbnails, graphics, carousels, and other creatives
- Use AI tools for ideation, scripting, research, editing, video/image generation, and workflow automation
- Repurpose existing content into formats suited to each platform
- Track key metrics and regularly identify improvements

Performance Metrics

You'll be evaluated on how effectively you grow the pages — not just upload volume: Views & Reach, Followers/Subscribers, Engagement, Watch Time & Retention, Content Consistency, and Organic Page Growth.

Requirements

- Active user of Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, or X with robust platform understanding
- Ability to analyse why viral content performs well
- Solid grasp of current social media trends and content formats
- Ability to create quality creatives using Canva or similar tools
- Basic video editing skills — able to independently produce social media videos
- Familiarity with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar editing tools
- Comfortable experimenting with AI-based content creation tools
- Understanding that growth = consistency + experimentation + analytics
- Ownership mindset — you run your page without waiting for instructions
- Good command of English with the ability to write engaging captions and hooks
- Comfortable working with numbers and basic social media analytics

Bonus Points

- Have managed or grown your own Instagram/YouTube page, creator account, or community
- Experience creating Reels, Shorts, thumbnails, or carousels
- Knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Figma
- Hands-on experience with AI video/image/content tools
- Work with college clubs, societies, freelance projects, or creator accounts
- Actively study creator and brand content strategies
