Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize the end-to-end movement, storage, and distribution of goods. The role will be responsible for managing transportation, warehousing, inventory movement, logistics partners, and delivery operations while ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant execution.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of logistics operations, excellent vendor-management skills, and the ability to lead teams and solve operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and manage day-to-day logistics and transportation operations.
- Ensure timely pickup, dispatch, transportation, and delivery of goods.
- Manage relationships with transporters, logistics service providers, and other vendors.
- Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service-level agreements with logistics partners.
- Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, sales, production, and customer service teams.
- Ensure proper documentation for shipments, including invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, and other required documents.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, damages, shortages, and delivery issues.
- Monitor fleet/vehicle utilization, route planning, and transportation efficiency where applicable.
- Oversee warehouse-to-customer and inter-location movement of inventory.
- Establish and monitor logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight cost, vehicle utilization, turnaround time, and order fulfillment.
- Analyze logistics data and prepare regular operational and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
- Lead, train,



and evaluate logistics and transportation teams.
- Implement standard operating procedures and continuously improve logistics processes.
- Manage logistics-related escalations and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, or supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of transportation and warehouse operations.
- Experience managing logistics vendors and transporters.
- Valuable understanding of freight costing, route planning, and delivery operations.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team-management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics/ERP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong focus on cost control, service quality, and timely delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ERP/WMS/TMS platforms.
- Knowledge of GST, e-way bills, invoicing, and transportation documentation.
- Experience managing a large fleet or multiple logistics partners.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process-improvement methodologies.
