Job description

The Senior Technical Officer in R&D; (Tablet Manufacturing) is responsible for leading and supporting research and development activities related to tablet manufacturing processes and formulations. This role involves hands-on work in the laboratory and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and scale-up of tablet products.

Responsibility

 Product Development:  Lead and participate in the formulation development of tablet products.  Conduct research to optimize existing tablet formulations for improved quality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.  Collaborate with R&D; and production teams to scale-up and transfer developed products from the laboratory to full-scale production.  Process Optimization:  Identify opportunities for process improvements in tablet manufacturing.  Conduct experiments and trials to optimize tablet manufacturing processes, including granulation, compression, coating, and packaging.  Implement cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to enhance tablet manufacturing efficiency and quality.  Quality Control and Assurance:  Develop and implement quality control tests and procedures for tablet products.  Ensure products meet regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.  Investigate and address any product quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.  Documentation and Reporting:  Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, formulations, and processes.  Prepare technical reports, data summaries, and presentations to communicate findings and progress to management and cross-functional teams.  Regulatory Compliance:



 Stay up-to-date with regulatory guidelines and requirements related to tablet manufacturing.  Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to ensure product submissions and approvals are in compliance with relevant regulations.  Project Management:  Manage multiple R&D; projects simultaneously, including budget and timeline management.  Coordinate with project teams to achieve project goals and objectives.  Cross-functional Collaboration:  Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production personnel, and quality assurance, to achieve R&D; objectives.  Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members.  Safety and Compliance:  Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment in the laboratory.  Comply with all company policies and procedures, including ethical and safety standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
