Through Indian Wedding Planners, we curate luxury destination weddings across India for Indian, NRI, and international clients. Our work includes venue selection, hotel contracting, wedding planning, decor, guest hospitality, transport, and end-to-end event execution.

We are looking for an experienced, confident, and client-focused Venue Specialist for our Mumbai office to lead venue advisory, hotel relationship management, client meetings, destination research, and venue conversion for luxury weddings.

Role Overview

The Venue Specialist will be the destination and hotel expert for our clients. The person will understand a client’s wedding vision, budget, guest count, preferred dates, room requirements, and destination preferences, then curate the most suitable luxury hotels, resorts, heritage properties, palaces, and wedding venues.

This role is ideal for a seasoned hotelier or wedding-industry professional with strong experience in hotel sales, wedding sales, banquet sales, destination wedding planning, group bookings, or venue management.

The key objective is to meet prospective clients, present venues professionally, coordinate hotel negotiations and site visits, and convert enquiries into confirmed venue and wedding-planning business.

Key Responsibilities

- Meet prospective wedding clients in person and virtually to understand their wedding dates, guest count, room requirements, budget, preferred destination, wedding style, and function plan.
- Curate and present suitable luxury wedding venues, hotels, resorts, palaces, heritage properties, and destination options.
- Prepare premium venue presentations with property highlights, room inventory, event spaces, capacities, package range, photographs, wedding suitability, and recommendations.
- Develop robust knowledge of wedding destinations across India, with particular focus on Rajasthan—including Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Pushkar, Ranthambore, Ajmer, Kumbhalgarh, Neemrana, Alwar, and Bikaner.
- Build and maintain relationships with hotel General Managers, Directors of Sales, Wedding Sales Managers,



Banquet Sales Managers, Revenue Managers, and venue owners.
- Negotiate hotel rates, wedding packages, room blocks, venue rentals, food and beverage packages, upgrades, complimentary rooms, buyout options, staff rooms, and special inclusions.
- Arrange and attend hotel site inspections, destination recces, client venue visits, virtual hotel presentations, and familiarisation trips.
- Evaluate venues for rooms, event spaces, lawns, ballrooms, terraces, poolside areas, food quality, guest movement, decor possibilities, vendor access, weather backup, sound restrictions, parking, logistics, and overall wedding suitability.
- Prepare venue-recce reports with photographs, videos, observations, recommended function spaces, strengths, restrictions, and design/operational suggestions.
- Follow up regularly with clients, hotels, and internal teams until the venue booking is confirmed, postponed, or closed.
- Coordinate with Wedding Planners, Operations, Decor, Travel, and Finance teams for complete booking handover, client payment schedules, hotel contracts, and special commitments.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, venue options, proposals, availability, negotiations, site visits, follow-ups, bookings, and lost leads in CRM/Excel.
- Track hotel commissions, referral fees, commercial benefits, and payment status for confirmed bookings.
- Conduct regular hotel meetings, property visits, and destination research to keep the venue database updated.

Candidate Requirements

- Candidate preferred for this highly client-facing and travel-oriented role.
- BBA, MBA, Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Travel & Tourism, or a graduate degree with strong relevant industry experience.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in luxury hotels, resorts, banquets, wedding sales, venue sales, destination weddings, event planning, hospitality sales, group bookings, or hotel business development.
- Strong background as a hotelier, wedding sales manager, banquet sales professional, wedding planner, venue consultant,



or destination wedding specialist.
- Excellent knowledge of destination wedding venues and luxury hotels in India.
- Strong Rajasthan destination knowledge is mandatory, especially luxury hotels, heritage properties, palaces, resorts, room inventory, event spaces, and wedding possibilities.
- Existing relationships with hotel sales teams, luxury resorts, heritage properties, venues, and wedding/event professionals will be an advantage.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Hindi; Marathi is an added advantage.
- Strong presentation, client servicing, venue selling, negotiation, follow-up, relationship management, and conversion skills.
- Comfortable with frequent travel for client meetings, hotel recces, venue visits, destination research, and weddings.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint/Google Slides, email, WhatsApp Business, CRM, and client presentation tools.
- Well-groomed, articulate, confident, mature, target-driven, organised, and professionally presentable.

Compensation and Benefits

- Fixed salary: ₹80,000 per month
