PRD – Electronics Engineer

Job Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end electronics product development projects from concept through production.
- Plan, execute, monitor and close projects as per defined milestones and customer requirements
- Coordinate with Electronics, Software, Mechanical, Process, Quality, Testing, Sourcing and Production teams.
- Support development and validation of electronic hardware, PCB/PCBA and automotive electronic modules.
- Coordinate prototype builds, T0/T1/T2 samples, testing, validation and PPAP activities.
- Ensure timely availability of components, PCBs, tools, samples and test resources.
- Track project risks, issues, dependencies and corrective actions and drive timely closure.
- Support BOM creation/release, engineering changes, component approvals and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA and product development processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers for component development, PCB/PCBA development, tooling and qualification activities.




- Prepare project status reports and communicate project progress, risks and escalations to stakeholders
- Support product transfer to production and drive continuous improvement in quality, cost and delivery.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech. Electronics / ECE / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering

Experience

5–8 Years

Technical Details

- New Product Development (NPD) and Project Management
- Electronics product development and project execution
- Automotive electronics, instrument clusters and electronic modules
- Hardware development, circuit design and PCB/PCBA understanding
- Microcontrollers, embedded systems and basic HW-SW interaction
- Communication protocols – CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART
- Component selection, BOM management and engineering documentation
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA and product validation
- Cross-functional coordination with Product Engineering, Software, Process Engineering, Toolroom, Test Labs, Sourcing, Quality and Production
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
