Position Title: SST (Social Studies) PGT

Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic SST Teacher to teach Social Studies subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics to students. The teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, maintaining classroom discipline, assessing student performance, and encouraging critical thinking and social awareness.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver effective Social Studies lessons according to the curriculum.
- Teach subjects including History, Geography, Political Science, Civics, and Economics.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and classroom activities.
- Assess and evaluate students through tests, projects, and class participation.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning workplace.
- Encourage students to develop analytical, communication, and research skills.
- Use modern teaching methods, digital tools, and interactive activities.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and staff meetings.
- Keep records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
- Support students in academic and personal development.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Social Studies or related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) preferred/required.
- Strong knowledge of Social Studies subjects.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage students with creative teaching methods.

Preferred Skills

- Computer literacy and smart classroom teaching experience.
- Leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Patience, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Experience

- Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
- Prior teaching experience in a school is an advantage.
