- To undertake Human resources development by arranging regular training programmes to staff as and when required.
- To counsel staff and interacting with them in their day -to-day activities whenever required.
- To ensuring that safe clean and hygienic conditions are always maintained in the kitchen and working areas of the department.
- To supervise and advise the cooks as to the type quantity and quality of vegetables and ingredients to be used and also the method to be adopted

- For cooking the dishes, if necessary by actual demonstration.
- To manifest leadership qualities.
