Job Summary

Rockwoods International School, Ghatkesar, is looking for a responsible, caring and disciplined Dorm Parent / Hostel Warden to support students and manage day-to-day activities in the residential hostel.

The role involves supervising students, maintaining a safe and positive hostel environment, supporting daily routines and ensuring students' overall well-being.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum qualification: Intermediate (12th) or Degree.
- Previous experience as a Hostel Warden, Dorm Parent, Residential Supervisor or in a similar role is preferred.
- Experience working with children or in a school, hostel or residential environment will be an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Caring, patient and responsible approach towards students.
- Ability to maintain discipline in a calm and positive manner.
- Willingness to work and stay in a residential school environment.
- Ability to handle routine student concerns and emergencies responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and support students in the hostel and dormitory.
- Monitor students' daily routines, study time, meals, hygiene and rest.
- Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with hostel rules.
- Create a safe,



caring and positive residential environment.
- Assist students with their day-to-day needs.
- Maintain student attendance and hostel-related records.
- Identify and report student concerns, behavioural issues or emergencies to the Hostel Incharge or Management.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper upkeep of dormitory areas.
- Coordinate with the Hostel Incharge, teachers and school management.
- Supervise students during hostel activities and outings when assigned.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and immediately inform the concerned authority.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and school information.
- Carry out other hostel-related responsibilities assigned by the management.
