We are expanding with a Senior Software Engineer - Java with Cloud - AWS to craft scalable Java web services with strong security and cloud foundations. You will work closely with front-end and cross-functional partners, implement RESTful APIs, and tune services for performance and resilience. Apply now to join our delivery-focused team.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain scalable, high-performance web services using Java
- Work with front-end developers to integrate web services seamlessly into web applications
- Deliver RESTful APIs that enable smooth client-server communication
- Apply standards and best practices to ensure web services are robust, reliable, and secure
- Optimize scalability and performance with caching, load balancing, and database optimization
- Partner with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Contribute to code reviews with constructive feedback and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Keep up with the latest developments and trends in Java and web services

Requirements

- 6-8 years of IT experience with at least 6 years of strong proficiency in Java
- Strong knowledge of developing web services, including RESTful APIs
- Experience with Spring Boot for building and deploying web services




- Expertise in applying security best practices using Spring Security and JWT for authentication and authorization
- Familiarity with SQL queries and stored procedures, as well as Hibernate and other ORM frameworks
- Proficiency with Linux commands for development and troubleshooting
- Understanding of web security principles and best practices
- Experience with version control systems including Git and ADO
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (Sprint board, PR, Jenkins, Docker & Kubernetes, etc.)
- Ability to leverage Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java Desktop Applications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- English proficiency Upper-Intermediate (B2) or above

Nice to have

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of Angular
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Background in Agile development methodologies, with certification in Java programming or related technologies
