Job Summary

TVS Electronics Limited is looking for an experienced Dell Server Engineer to provide onsite installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for Dell PowerEdge enterprise servers.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Dell PowerEdge Rack and Tower Servers.
- Diagnose and replace server hardware components including HDD/SSD, RAM, CPU, Power Supply, RAID Controller, NIC, and Motherboard.
- Configure and troubleshoot RAID using Dell PERC Controllers.
- Perform BIOS and firmware upgrades using Dell tools.
- Install and support Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot iDRAC for remote server management.
- Perform server health checks, preventive maintenance, and hardware diagnostics.
- Troubleshoot server boot failures, hardware alerts, and performance issues.
- Coordinate with Dell Support/OEM for warranty cases and spare part replacement.
- Maintain service reports and update ITSM tickets within SLA timelines.
- Provide onsite support for server incidents, planned maintenance, and hardware upgrades.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E.



/ B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.

Experience Required

- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Dell Enterprise Server Support.
- Experience working with Dell PowerEdge Servers.
- Experience in enterprise data center environments.
- Hands-on experience in server hardware replacement and troubleshooting.
- Experience with RAID/PERC, iDRAC, BIOS and firmware upgrades.
- Experience coordinating with OEM/Dell support for warranty and spare replacement.
