Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP MM Consultant with 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Materials Management implementation, support, and enhancement projects. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and functional/technical teams at the client site to understand business requirements, provide SAP solutions, and ensure smooth execution of MM processes.

Key Responsibilities

· Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP MM functional solutions.

· Configure and support SAP MM processes including:

o Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

o Purchase Requisition (PR)

o Request for Quotation (RFQ)

o Purchase Order (PO)

o Goods Receipt (GR)

o Invoice Verification (IV)

o Stock Transfer Orders (STO)

o Inventory Management

o Physical Inventory

o Vendor/Business Partner management

· Configure purchasing, inventory management, account determination, release strategies, and related MM functionalities.

· Work on integration of SAP MM with FI, SD, PP, WM/EWM, and other SAP modules.

· Prepare functional specifications for custom developments, reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements.

· Coordinate with ABAP developers and technical teams for development and issue resolution.

· Perform unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and production deployment activities.

· Analyze and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs.

· Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

· Support data migration activities, including material/vendor master data and transactional data as required.

· Prepare functional documentation, process flows, test scripts, and user manuals.

· Interact directly with client business users and key stakeholders at the client site.

· Provide training and support to end users and business teams.

· Participate in change requests, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

· Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP MM.

· Strong knowledge of SAP MM configuration and business processes.





· Good understanding of Procure-to-Pay and Inventory Management.

· Experience with purchasing documents, pricing procedures, release strategies, and account determination.

· Strong understanding of material master and vendor/business partner master data.

· Experience in integration with SAP FI/CO, SD, PP, and WM/EWM.

· Good knowledge of SAP tables, transactions, and debugging functional issues.

· Experience in preparing functional specifications and working with ABAP teams.

· Hands-on experience with SAP implementation, rollout, enhancement, or production support projects.

· Good understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.

Preferred Skills

· SAP S/4HANA MM experience is preferred.

· Knowledge of Fiori applications and S/4HANA procurement processes.

· Experience with SAP Ariba or other procurement solutions is an advantage.

· Exposure to migration tools and data migration activities.

· Experience working in an onsite/client-facing environment.

· Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

· SAP MM certification is an added advantage.

Role Expectations

The candidate should be capable of independently handling SAP MM functional activities, interacting with client stakeholders, troubleshooting production issues, and delivering solutions across the complete MM lifecycle.
