Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day functioning of the assigned nursing unit.
- Allocate duties and ensure adequate deployment of nursing staff as per patient acuity and workload.
- Monitor the quality and continuity of patient care throughout the shift.
- Ensure compliance with nursing protocols, clinical guidelines, infection control practices, and hospital policies.
- Conduct regular rounds and monitor patient care, nursing procedures, medication administration, and documentation.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of nursing records, charts, medication sheets, handovers, and other clinical documentation.
- Lead shift handovers and ensure effective communication of critical patient information.
- Monitor staff performance, punctuality, attendance, grooming, discipline, and adherence to professional standards.
- Guide, mentor, and train nursing staff to improve clinical knowledge, skills, and patient-care practices.
- Identify training needs and coordinate with the nursing education team for required training programs.
- Ensure proper handling, availability, and utilization of medicines, consumables, equipment, and emergency supplies.
- Coordinate with doctors and other multidisciplinary teams for effective patient management.
- Ensure prompt escalation of patient deterioration, clinical incidents, medication errors,
and other concerns to the appropriate authority.
- Monitor compliance with infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene, PPE usage, biomedical waste management, and isolation protocols.
- Ensure proper implementation of patient safety practices, including fall prevention, identification protocols, pressure injury prevention, and medication safety.
- Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, and departmental reviews.
- Investigate and report nursing-related incidents, complaints, and near misses and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized nursing station and patient-care area.
- Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of nursing equipment and promptly report breakdowns or deficiencies.
- Support new staff during induction and orientation and facilitate their integration into the unit.
- Coordinate with other departments for investigations, procedures, transfers, admissions, and discharge processes.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and uphold ethical and skilled standards.
- Prepare and submit shift-wise/monthly reports and other nursing-related data as required.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
