Position Title: SAP ABAP Consultant
Location: Mumbai (WFO)
Experience Required: 6+ Years
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Department: Information Technology / SAP Practice
Reporting To: SAP Technical Lead / Project Manager

1. Job Purpose

The organization is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to design, develop, and support SAP technical solutions across ECC and/or S/4HANA landscapes. The incumbent will be responsible for translating business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring adherence to SAP development standards, and supporting ongoing implementation and maintenance projects.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF objects)
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and prepare technical specification documents
- Develop and maintain RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, and Web Services (SOAP/REST) for internal and third-party system integrations
- Design and develop Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts for business document output
- Implement enhancements using User Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancement Spots in accordance with project requirements
- Apply Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) principles to ensure scalable and maintainable code
- Conduct performance analysis, debugging, and optimization of existing ABAP programs
- Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation in compliance with organizational and project standards
- Support end-to-end SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, and production support activities
- Adhere to defined SDLC processes, coding standards, and change management procedures
- Provide timely resolution of production incidents and service requests within defined SLAs

3. Required Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of relevant, hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development
- Demonstrated experience in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation, rollout, or major support engagement
- Strong proficiency in Core ABAP, OOABAP, ALV Reports (Classical/Interactive), and Module Pool Programming
- Proven experience with Enhancement Framework (User Exits, BAdIs), IDocs, RFC, and BAPI development
- Working experience with Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and/or SAPscript
- Practical knowledge of Web Services (SOAP/REST) and third-party system integrations
- Functional exposure to one or more SAP modules (SD, MM, FICO, PP, or HR)
- Strong analytical, debugging, and performance-tuning capabilities

4. Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA development, including CDS Views, AMDP, and RESTful ABAP Programming (RAP)
- Exposure to SAP Fiori and OData services
- Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) or cloud-based extensions
- SAP-certified in ABAP or related technology

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹116,000.00 per month
