Production – Digital Printing

Reporting To

Production Supervisor / Printing Manager

Experience Required

Minimum 5 Years of Experience in Digital Printing Operations, preferably in Flexible Packaging, Multiplex Packaging, Labels, Pouches, Laminates, or Packaging Printing Industry.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

- Operate Digital Printing Machines as per production planning and approved job specifications.
- Perform machine setup, job changeovers, substrate loading, and color calibration.
- Ensure accurate reproduction of customer artwork and print designs.
- Monitor printing parameters throughout production to maintain consistency.
- Conduct trial runs and obtain quality approval before full-scale production.

Print Quality Control

- Ensure proper color matching, print registration, image sharpness, and print consistency.
- Identify and rectify printing defects such as streaks, color variation, ghosting, smudging, and misregistration.
- Verify printed materials against approved artwork and customer requirements.
- Maintain quality records and production documentation.

Production Management

- Achieve daily production targets with optimum machine utilization.
- Minimize material wastage, machine downtime, and production losses.
- Ensure timely completion of production orders as per planning schedules.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, and Maintenance departments.

Machine Maintenance

- Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of printing equipment.
- Ensure proper handling of inks, print heads, substrates, and consumables.
- Report machine breakdowns and technical issues promptly.
- Support maintenance teams during troubleshooting and repairs.

Material Handling

- Verify availability of substrates, inks, coatings,



and other consumables before job execution.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of printing materials.
- Maintain inventory records of inks and consumables as required.

Safety & Compliance

- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the printing area.
- Comply with ISO, GMP, 5S, Food Safety, and company quality standards.
- Ensure safe handling of inks, solvents, and chemicals.

Required Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma / Graduate in Printing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Specialized training in Digital Printing Technology will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Solid knowledge of Digital Printing Processes and Technologies.
- Understanding of Flexible Packaging Materials and Structures.
- Knowledge of color management and print quality standards.
- Ability to read job cards, artwork specifications, and production orders.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with digital print software.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in rotational shifts.
