Key Responsibility:

Daily Checklists:

- Perform daily inspection of Medical Gas Manifold systems (Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide, Medical Air, Vacuum).
- Check cylinder banks, pressure regulators, changeover systems, pipeline pressure levels, and alarm panels.
- Ensure proper functioning of zone valves, terminal units, outlets, and vacuum pumps.
- Attend and rectify gas-related breakdown calls immediately and escalate critical issues to senior staff.

Documentation:

- Maintain installation reports, commissioning records, pressure test certificates, and compliance documents.
- Maintain logbooks for manifold operation, cylinder consumption, daily parameters, and safety checks.
- Track spares, cylinders, AMC records, service reports, and purchase orders.
- Maintain equipment history cards and downtime records for MGPS-related equipment.

Communication:

- Coordinate with clinical departments regarding gas supply requirements and shutdown schedules.
- Liaise with gas suppliers, authorised service providers, and external agencies for refilling, testing, and maintenance.
- Communicate with in-house biomedical engineers and HOD on system performance and safety concerns.

Scheduling of Events:

- Schedule preventive maintenance for MGPS, manifolds, alarms, and vacuum systems as per OEM and NABH guidelines.
- Coordinate with user departments for pipeline maintenance, zone valve servicing, and shutdown activities.




- Arrange training programmes for users and staff on secure handling of medical gases and emergency procedures.

Maintenance Daily Report and Breakdown Reports:

- Maintain daily activity reports for MGPS inspection, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Update breakdown and downtime reports for gas pipeline and manifold-related issues.
- Regularly update HOD – Biomedical Engineering on pending issues, risks, and corrective actions.

Down Time Management for Medical Gas Systems (Non-AMC):

- Ensure in-house maintenance of medical gas systems as per OEM and statutory norms.
- Record all service and maintenance activities in the system history cards.
- Coordinate on-call service support when internal repair is not feasible and process necessary POs.
- Ensure all safety checks and documentation are completed post-servicing.

Additional Support:

- Provide technical and safety support to clinical, OT, ICU, and diagnostic areas related to medical gas systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with hospital safety policies, NABH standards, and statutory requirements.
- Participate in hospital safety drills, inspections, and internal/external audits.
- Attend and successfully complete required training programmes organised by the hospital and company.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
