MIRAY is a growing Indian women’s westernwear brand focused on stylish, commercial and easy-to-wear clothing for Gen Z and millennial customers.

We manufacture our garments in-house and are scaling our operations significantly. As we grow, sourcing the right quality materials at the right price and at the right time is becoming extremely important.

We are looking for a practical, market-savvy Fabric & Accessories Sourcing & Purchase Executive who can take ownership of our fabric and garment-accessory sourcing.

The Role

This is not a routine purchase or procurement job.

We are looking for someone who understands the women's westernwear garment business and has strong market contacts, negotiation skills and product knowledge.

You will be responsible for continuously finding:

Better Quality + Better Prices + Reliable Supply

for both our fabrics and garment accessories.

You will work closely with our designer, production team and management to ensure that production never gets held up because of material shortages.

Key Responsibilities1. Fabric Sourcing

- Source fabrics suitable for MIRAY's women's westernwear collections.
- Understand different fabric compositions, GSM, width, hand-feel, fall, shrinkage, finish and garment suitability.
- Identify new fabrics, suppliers and markets that can improve MIRAY's product range and costing.
- Continuously monitor market prices and availability.
- Source fabrics according to upcoming production requirements.
- Ensure the right fabric is available at the right time without unnecessarily blocking working capital.

2. Garment Accessories Sourcing

Take ownership of sourcing and purchasing garment accessories such as:

- Buttons
- Rivets
- Zippers
- Lace
- Linings
- Threads
- Hooks
- Eyelets
- Elastic
- Labels
- Trims
- Interlinings
- Other garment finishing materials

You should understand which accessory is suitable for which garment and should continuously look for better-quality and more cost-effective alternatives.

3. Cost Reduction & Negotiation

This is one of the most important parts of the role.

- Study MIRAY's existing fabric and accessory purchase prices.
- Understand our current costing and identify where we are paying more than necessary.
- Negotiate strongly with existing suppliers.
- Find alternative suppliers and compare market prices.
- Look for better quality at lower prices, rather than simply buying the cheapest material.
- Identify opportunities for meaningful cost savings without compromising garment quality.
- Maintain a record of supplier rates so that we can compare future purchases against previous purchases and market prices.

4. Vendor Development





- Build and maintain a strong network of fabric and accessory suppliers.
- Develop multiple supplier options instead of depending heavily on one vendor.
- Maintain good relationships with reliable suppliers.
- Continuously discover new vendors and markets.
- Evaluate suppliers on quality, price, consistency, availability, delivery time and reliability.

5. Production Planning & Availability

- Coordinate closely with the designer and production team.
- Understand upcoming styles and their material requirements.
- Plan purchases in advance.
- Ensure critical fabrics and accessories are available before production begins.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages early.
- Avoid unnecessary bulk buying and excessive inventory.

The objective is easy: production should not stop because we failed to plan or source a required material.

6. Market Visits & Sourcing

Regular market visits will be an important part of this role.

You may be required to visit relevant markets and suppliers in Delhi/NCR and, when required, travel to textile markets such as:

- Surat
- Ludhiana
- Gandhi Nagar
- Other relevant textile and garment markets

You should be comfortable spending time in markets, meeting suppliers, checking materials and negotiating directly.

7. Regular MIRAY Unit Visits

The candidate will be expected to visit our Tughlakabad Extension manufacturing unit approximately 3–4 times per week.

These visits will be important for:

- Understanding upcoming production requirements
- Checking fabric and accessory availability
- Coordinating with the designer and production team
- Checking actual consumption
- Identifying shortages
- Understanding new styles
- Reviewing material quality
- Planning upcoming purchases

The role will therefore involve a combination of market work + supplier management + office/unit coordination.

8. Fabric & Material Costing

- Maintain updated purchase rates for major fabrics and accessories.
- Compare new quotations with existing rates.
- Help management understand where costs can be improved.
- Track price changes in the market.
- Maintain supplier-wise pricing information.
- Highlight significant price differences and potential savings.

9. Quality Control

Price alone is not the objective.

Before finalizing suppliers/materials, assess:

- Fabric quality
- GSM
- Width
- Composition
- Colour consistency
- Shrinkage
- Hand-feel
- Fall
- Finish
- Accessory quality
- Consistency between lots

A cheaper material that creates fitting, shrinkage, finishing or customer-quality problems is not considered a saving.

Inventory & Working Capital Discipline

MIRAY is a growing business, so cash flow and inventory discipline are extremely important.

The candidate should:

- Avoid unnecessary bulk purchases.
- Buy according to realistic production requirements.
- Maintain sufficient material availability without excessive stock.
- Identify slow-moving/unused materials.
- Help reduce wastage and unnecessary purchases.
- Balance availability, price and working capital.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate should have:

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in fabric sourcing, garment sourcing, apparel purchase or textile procurement.
- Strong knowledge of women's westernwear fabrics.
- Good understanding of GSM, composition, width, quality and garment suitability.
- Existing contacts with fabric and accessory suppliers is strongly preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Delhi textile/garment markets.
- Willingness to travel for sourcing when required.
- Ability to compare quality and pricing intelligently.
- Strong commercial understanding.
- Good follow-up and vendor-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Basic Excel/Google Sheets knowledge for maintaining purchase and vendor records.
- Honest, disciplined and cost-conscious approach.

Bike / Two-Wheeler Preferred

Having your own bike/two-wheeler is strongly preferred, as the role will involve regular supplier and market visits in Delhi/NCR and occasional urgent sourcing requirements.

Candidates without a vehicle may also be considered if they have strong market experience and can reliably manage supplier/market visits.

We are not looking for someone who simply buys whatever material is requested.

We want someone who will actively ask:

Can we get this fabric/accessory at a better price?Can we get better quality at the same price?Is another supplier offering a better rate?Can we negotiate this further?Can we reduce our cost without affecting quality?Do we really need to buy this quantity?

Compensation

First Month: ₹22,000

From Second Month: ₹25,000/month, subject to satisfactory performance.

Further salary review and growth opportunities will be based on performance, responsibility and measurable contribution to MIRAY.
