OB DESCRIPTION – LAB INSTRUCTOR

Position: Lab Instructor
Department: Engineering
Location: Bengaluru
Reporting To: Head of Department / Principal

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct and assist in laboratory sessions as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare and arrange laboratory equipment, instruments, materials, and experiments before practical sessions.
- Demonstrate experiments and provide technical guidance to students during laboratory work.
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and safe usage of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory records, stock registers, equipment logs, and consumable records.
- Monitor students and ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures.
- Identify equipment faults and coordinate with the concerned department for repairs and maintenance.
- Assist faculty members in conducting practical examinations, assessments, and demonstrations.
- Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and proper organization of the laboratory.
- Ensure adequate availability of laboratory consumables and report shortages on time.
- Support departmental activities, inspections, accreditation requirements,



and other academic responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in the relevant discipline.
- Relevant technical or laboratory experience will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

- Good practical and technical knowledge of laboratory equipment.
- Ability to handle and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to safety and laboratory procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with students and faculty.
- Good organizational and record-maintenance skills.

Experience

0–3 years of relevant laboratory experience. Freshers with strong practical knowledge may also be considered.

- Electronics / Electrical Lab Instructor
- Engineering-related laboratory experience

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
