Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL and Python, good understanding of cloud technologies, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The candidate should be confident in their technical abilities, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently as well as with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Develop data processing and automation solutions using Python.
- Work with cloud-based data platforms and services on any major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Identify and resolve data pipeline, performance, and integration issues.
- Optimize existing data processes and improve overall data pipeline performance.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Follow best practices for data engineering, coding, documentation, testing, and deployment.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to solution design and architecture.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver solutions within agreed timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications





- 5–10 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python.
- Good understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data transformation, and data quality.
- Experience working with at least one cloud platform, such as:
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Good understanding of performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to confidently explain technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate within a team.

Nice to Have

- Hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Experience with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
- Experience with cloud-based data warehouses and data lakes.
- Knowledge of Spark/PySpark.
- Experience with CI/CD and version control tools such as Git.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
