Job Summary:

The Safety Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace health and safety programs to ensure a protected, compliant, and accident-free work environment. This role involves conducting safety inspections, coordinating training, monitoring compliance with safety standards, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement and monitor the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and project-specific safety plans at construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and control potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with PPE usage, safe work practices, and permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities (e.g., lifting, scaffolding, excavation, hot works).
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to workers and subcontractors to promote safety awareness.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including inspection reports, training records, and compliance checklists.
- Support emergency preparedness activities such as fire drills, first aid readiness, and coordination with site management.
- Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure all site operations align with statutory and client safety requirements.
- Report key safety findings,



non-conformities, and progress updates to the HOD – Safety for review and action.

Requirements:

- Minimum 08+ years of experience in a similar safety role (Prior experience in Building construction firm preferred).
- Advance Diploma, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification preferred (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor).
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with safety management systems (SMS).

Working Conditions:

- Frequent travel to various construction sites as required.
- Must be willing to conduct regular site visits and inspections.
