Line Supervisor in an Export House

A Line Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising a production line in a garment export house. Their main goal is to ensure the line achieves its daily production target with valuable quality and minimum wastage.

Main responsibilities:

- Production supervision – Monitor the complete sewing/production line.
- Daily targets – Ensure workers achieve the assigned production target.
- Worker management – Allocate work to operators and manage manpower.
- Line coordination – Make sure each operation is moving smoothly from one worker to the next.
- Quality monitoring – Identify defects and coordinate with QC to correct them.
- Solve bottlenecks – Quickly address slow operations, work-in-progress buildup and production stoppages.
- Material availability – Ensure fabric/components required by the line are available.




- Production records – Maintain hourly/daily production and efficiency records.
- Coordinate with IE & PPC – Follow line plans, targets and production schedules.
- Machine issues – Coordinate with maintenance when machines or equipment have problems.
- Worker guidance – Train and guide operators on proper working methods.
- Shipment schedule – Help ensure production is completed within the required deadline.
