Consultant Medical Gastroenterologist

Position: Consultant – Medical Gastroenterology
Location: Krishna Hospitals, Vijayawada
Employment: Full-time / Visiting Consultant

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Medical Gastroenterologist to join Krishna Hospitals and develop a solid Gastroenterology OPD, diagnostic and procedural service.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct gastroenterology OP consultations and evaluate patients with GI and liver disorders.
- Diagnose and manage conditions including GERD, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, IBS, IBD, fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis and pancreatitis.
- Perform and/or supervise upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy and related gastroenterology procedures as per hospital facilities.
- Manage GI emergencies including GI bleeding, acute pancreatitis and liver-related emergencies.
- Coordinate with General Surgery, Radiology, ICU, Emergency Medicine and other specialties.
- Develop appropriate investigation and treatment protocols.
- Provide counselling regarding lifestyle, diet and long-term disease management.




- Participate in inpatient care, referrals and multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital/NABH protocols.
- Contribute to Gastroenterology camps, health awareness programs and OPD development initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

- MD/DNB in General Medicine with DM/DNB in Gastroenterology
- Valid medical registration.
- Experience in independent gastroenterology practice preferred.
- Endoscopy experience preferred.
