Entrepot Group is seeking a competent, proactive, and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, taxation matters, and the finalization of books of accounts.
The ideal candidate should be a *self-motivated go-getter* with strong accounting knowledge, practical experience in Indian taxation, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts.
* Record and verify sales, purchase, receipt, payment, journal, and contra entries.
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
* Prepare and maintain bank, customer, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
* Handle monthly bank reconciliation statements.
* Prepare and file *GST returns*, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
* Reconcile GST input tax credit with GSTR-2B and accounting records.
* Calculate, deduct, deposit, and reconcile *TDS*.
* Prepare and file applicable quarterly TDS returns.
* Assist in preparing income-tax computations and supporting schedules.
* Work closely with management, auditors, and tax consultants on *income-tax matters and the finalisation of books of accounts*.
* Prepare trial balances, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
* Assist with statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits.
* Maintain proper documentation, vouchers, invoices, and supporting records.
* Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate payment follow-ups.
* Support budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and management reporting.
* Ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
* Complete all accounting and compliance activities within the prescribed deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
* Minimum *three years of practical accounting experience*.
* Strong working knowledge of *Tally/TallyPrime*.
* Sound knowledge of *GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable local tax regulations*.
* Practical experience in the *finalisation of books of accounts*.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, reconciliations, and financial reports.
* Good understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance.
* Ability to coordinate effectively with auditors, tax consultants, customers, vendors, and internal departments.
* Positive written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
