Job Description – Fabric Dispatch Supervisor

Department: Dispatch / Logistics
Designation: Fabric Dispatch Supervisor
Reports To: Dispatch Manager / PPC Head / Factory Manager
Experience: 3–5 years in textile/fabric dispatch operations

Job Purpose:

To supervise and control the complete fabric dispatch process, ensuring that finished fabric is properly checked, packed, documented and dispatched to customers within the committed timeline.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily fabric dispatch activities as per approved dispatch plans and customer requirements.
- Ensure proper fabric inspection, roll identification, tagging and packing before dispatch.
- Verify fabric quantity, quality, shade, lot/batch and packing details against the relevant documents.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, PPC, Stores, Accounts and Transporters for timely dispatch.
- Prepare and maintain Dispatch Challans, Packing Lists, Invoices, Gate Passes and other required documents.
- Ensure correct loading of fabric rolls and proper vehicle utilization to avoid damage during transportation.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, stock movement and daily dispatch reports.
- Ensure FIFO/approved lot-wise dispatch practices wherever applicable.
- Monitor pending orders and coordinate with concerned departments to avoid dispatch delays.




- Check vehicle documents and ensure safe and systematic loading/unloading.
- Handle customer-specific packing and dispatch instructions.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards in the dispatch area.
- Supervise and allocate work to dispatch helpers and loading staff.
- Report shortages, damages, discrepancies or dispatch-related issues to the concerned HOD immediately.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality standards and HR/safety policies.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of textile/fabric dispatch and packing processes
- Knowledge of fabric rolls, GSM, width, shade and lot identification
- Basic computer knowledge and Excel/ERP skills
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Ability to manage manpower and dispatch schedules
- Solid attention to documentation and quantity accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet dispatch deadlines

- Minimum fabric damage/shortage
- Proper stock and dispatch records

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
