Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Laboratory Technician based in Chennai. The Senior Laboratory Technician will be responsible for preparing and analyzing clinical samples, conducting laboratory tests, supporting accurate disease diagnosis, maintaining laboratory equipment, and strictly following laboratory safety and quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform molecular biology techniques, including:
- Isolation of DNA from clinical samples
- PCR
- Gel electrophoresis
- DNA sequencing
- Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows
- Handle and process clinical/infectious samples in accordance with laboratory safety procedures.
- Perform extensive micropipetting and accurate measurement.
- Prepare solutions and reagents according to standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, sanitization, and safety standards.
- Maintain QC-related documents and records.
- Maintain accurate test logs and laboratory documentation.
- Maintain patient/sample confidentiality.
- Follow SOPs, quality control procedures, and laboratory guidelines.

Experience – Mandatory





- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) is mandatory.
- Candidates without a minimum of 2 years of relevant NGS experience will not be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a molecular diagnostic laboratory is preferred.
- Experience handling infectious/clinical samples is an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of molecular biology techniques and NGS workflows is essential.

- B.Tech / M.Tech – Biotechnology / Genetic Engineering
- B.Sc / M.Sc – Biotechnology / Genetic Engineering
- B.Sc / M.Sc – Molecular Biology
