Job Title: Marketing & Sales Intern – Modern Trade & ExportJob Summary

We are looking for a Marketing & Sales Intern to support our business development activities with a primary focus on Modern Trade and Export Markets. This role is ideal for a motivated and commercially minded individual who wants to gain hands-on experience in sales, marketing, market research, customer development, and international business.

The intern will work closely with the sales and marketing team to identify new business opportunities, support modern trade accounts, research export markets, coordinate with customers and distributors, and assist in developing the company's presence in domestic and international markets.

Key ResponsibilitiesModern Trade

- Assist the sales team in developing and managing modern trade accounts, including supermarkets, retail chains, and organized retail customers.
- Research and identify potential modern trade customers and business opportunities.
- Support product listing and onboarding activities with retail chains.
- Coordinate with customers regarding product information, pricing, promotions, orders, and documentation.
- Monitor product availability, sales performance, promotions, and market activities.
- Assist in preparing sales reports, customer presentations, and business proposals.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Support promotional campaigns and in-store marketing activities.

Export Sales & Business Development

- Research potential international markets, importers, distributors, wholesalers, and retail customers.
- Identify and develop a database of prospective overseas customers.
- Assist in reaching out to potential international buyers through email, phone, online platforms, and business networks.
- Support the preparation of quotations, product presentations, company profiles, and export proposals.
- Assist the team in coordinating export enquiries, samples, orders, and customer follow-ups.
- Conduct research on market trends,



competitor products, pricing, and customer preferences in target countries.
- Assist with export documentation and coordination with internal teams, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain regular communication and follow-up with prospective and existing customers.

Marketing Responsibilities

- Assist in developing marketing materials for domestic and international markets.
- Support digital marketing activities, including social media, email marketing, and online lead generation.
- Conduct market research and prepare reports on customer preferences and emerging opportunities.
- Assist in creating presentations, product catalogues, brochures, and promotional content.
- Track marketing campaigns and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Support trade fairs, exhibitions, buyer meetings, and other business development events.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Robust interest in sales, marketing, modern trade, export business, and international markets.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valuable written and spoken English.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate professionally through email and telephone.
- Proactive, confident, and willing to approach new customers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn about sales processes, export procedures, and international business.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of modern trade and organized retail.




- Basic understanding of export procedures and international trade.
- Experience with lead generation, customer research, or sales.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, LinkedIn, B2B platforms, or digital marketing tools.
- Additional language skills are an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills are a plus.
