A hospital seeking an experienced Infection Control Nurse to support and monitor infection prevention and control practices across the hospital. The role involves implementing infection-control protocols, monitoring compliance, staff education, surveillance, and maintaining appropriate documentation.

Qualifications

- GNM or B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution.
- 1–2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably with experience in infection prevention and control or a hospital infection-control setting.
- Valid nursing registration with the appropriate State Nursing Council.
- Positive knowledge of infection prevention practices, hygiene standards, and clinical protocols.
- Strong communication, observation, documentation, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor hospital infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and maintain relevant records.
- Monitor compliance with hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, sterilization, disinfection,



and waste-management practices.
- Conduct infection-control rounds and identify areas requiring corrective action.
- Educate and train nursing staff and other healthcare workers on infection prevention practices.
- Assist in investigating and managing suspected infection outbreaks in coordination with the appropriate hospital team.
- Monitor environmental and clinical practices related to infection prevention.
- Maintain accurate infection-control reports, surveillance data, and documentation.
- Coordinate with nursing, medical, housekeeping, laboratory, and other departments on infection-control initiatives.
- Support audits, quality-improvement activities, and compliance with hospital infection-control standards.
- Promote patient and staff safety through effective infection-prevention practices.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
