We are looking for an experienced senior advocate/litigation counsel to lead and manage our real estate litigation, arbitration and regulatory matters in Pune.

The ideal candidate should have substantial hands-on experience in complex real estate and property disputes, with a solid track record of appearing before courts, tribunals and regulatory authorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Litigation Management

* Independently manage civil, commercial and consumer litigation relating to real estate and property matters.

* Handle matters from initial legal strategy and pleadings through hearings, evidence, arguments and final disposal.

* Appear before the Bombay High Court, Pune District & Sessions Courts and other appropriate forums.

Arbitration

* Lead domestic arbitration proceedings involving real estate, development, joint venture, land and contractual disputes.

* Review and advise on arbitration clauses, jurisdictional issues, claims, counterclaims and settlement strategies.

* Draft and review statements of claim, defence, applications and other arbitration pleadings.

MahaRERA & Regulatory Matters

* Represent and advise the organisation before MahaRERA and other relevant regulatory authorities.

* Handle real estate regulatory disputes, complaints, appeals and related proceedings.

Legal Drafting & Documentation

* Draft and review complex plaints, written statements, petitions, applications, legal notices and replies.

* Review and advise on development agreements, joint venture agreements, land acquisition documents, conveyancing and other real estate contracts.

Strategic Legal Advisory





* Provide practical and commercially orientated advice on:

* Land title and title-related disputes

* Property acquisitions and development

* Joint ventures and development arrangements

* Contractual disputes

* Regulatory and litigation risks

* Risk mitigation and dispute resolution strategies

Counsel Coordination

* Briefly and effectively coordinate with external senior counsels, advocates, technical experts, consultants and other professionals whenever required.

* Develop a litigation strategy and ensure effective execution of the same.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

* An LL.B. degree and an LL.M. will be an advantage.

* Valid enrolment with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa or another applicable Bar Council, with a current right to practice.

* 8–15 years of active post-qualification litigation experience, preferably with significant exposure to real estate and property disputes.

* Strong experience in civil and commercial litigation, arbitration and MahaRERA matters.

* Thorough knowledge of:

* Real estate and property laws

* Maharashtra land and development laws

* MahaRERA framework

* Stamp duty and registration laws

* Land acquisition and title-related matters

* Joint ventures and development agreements

* Demonstrated courtroom advocacy and strong legal drafting skills.

* Excellent legal research, negotiation and dispute-resolution capabilities.

* Ability to independently assess complex legal issues and provide clear, commercially practical advice.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
