Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Production to manage and monitor day-to-day production activities in our furniture and retail interior manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, quality, productivity, and timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities as per project requirements.

Manage production teams across carpentry, fabrication, CNC, furniture manufacturing, and finishing.

Ensure production targets and project timelines are achieved.

Allocate manpower and resources effectively across the production floor.

Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, QC, and Project/Site teams.

Study production drawings and ensure accurate execution as per approved designs.

Monitor material consumption and minimize production wastage.

Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

Monitor machine utilization, productivity, and downtime.

Ensure proper implementation of 5S, safety, and workplace discipline.

Maintain daily production reports, manpower records, and productivity reports.





Train and guide supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor workers.

Handle urgent production issues and ensure timely resolution.

Support management in improving production efficiency and reducing manufacturing costs.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing and retail interior production.

Experience in production planning and shop-floor management.

Knowledge of CNC, carpentry, fabrication, furniture assembly, and finishing processes.

Valuable manpower handling and team-management skills.

Ability to understand technical/production drawings.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Good coordination and communication skills.

Knowledge of 5S, safety, quality control, and productivity improvement.

Good working knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or related field preferred.
