L2 Operations & Administration Engineer – GCP

Job Summary

We are looking for an **L2 Operations & Administration Engineer with strong Linux and GCP experience** to manage, troubleshoot, secure, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure. The role involves L2 incident support, Linux administration, cloud operations, monitoring, automation, security, and collaboration with L3 teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Support and administer **GCP infrastructure**, including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Security services.

* Deploy and manage **GCP VMs, storage, and networking**; troubleshoot compute, network, and storage issues.

* Administer and troubleshoot **Linux servers – Ubuntu, RHEL, and CentOS** running on GCP.

* Manage **users, firewall configurations, system updates, patching, and compliance**.

* Monitor environments for **performance, availability, security, and cost efficiency**.

* Support **backup and disaster recovery** solutions.

* Automate provisioning and administration using **Terraform, Ansible, Deployment Manager**, and **Bash, Python, or PowerShell**.

* Support **CI/CD pipelines** and infrastructure automation.

* Implement **GCP IAM, firewall rules, security controls**, vulnerability assessments, and remediation.

* Provide **L2 support for escalated GCP/Linux incidents**, perform basic RCA, and collaborate with L3 teams.





* Manage monitoring and alerting using **GCP Operations Suite, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK**.

* Maintain **SOPs, runbooks, technical documentation, and knowledge bases**, and support knowledge sharing with L1 teams.

Required Skills & Experience

* **2–5 years of experience** in IT Operations, Linux Administration, Cloud Support, or related roles.

* Strong knowledge of **GCP Compute, Networking, Storage, and Security**.

* Hands-on **Linux administration and troubleshooting** with working knowledge of Windows administration.

* Experience with **Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager**.

* Basic scripting skills in **Bash, Python, or PowerShell**.

* Understanding of **cloud security, IAM, networking, monitoring, backup, and compliance**.

* Familiarity with **Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and GCP Operations Suite**.

* Knowledge of **Docker, Kubernetes/GKE, DevOps, CI/CD, and ITIL** is an advantage.

* Solid troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in **Computer Science, IT, or related field**, or equivalent experience.

### Certification

* **Google Associate Cloud Engineer** – Preferred.

Travel

**25% Domestic & International travel required.**

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
