PRD – Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end internal projects covering mechanical and related product development activities.
- Plan, execute, monitor and close projects as per defined timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for development of mechanical parts, displays, PCBA, molding tools, fixtures and assembly processes.
- Ensure APQP and PPAP requirements are completed as per project timelines.
- Manage T0, T1, T2 and PPAP builds and ensure timely availability of components, tools and samples.
- Coordinate with Toolroom, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing and Test Labs for trials, validation and approvals.
- Track project risks, issues, dependencies and actions, and drive timely closure.
- Support engineering changes, BOM updates, design validation and product approval activities.
- Coordinate transfer of qualified products,



tools and processes to production locations.
- Prepare project status reports and communicate progress, risks and escalations to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution, quality, cost and delivery.

Qualification

- B. E / B. Tech in Mechanical / Mechatronics

Experience

5-8 Years

Technical Details

- Current Product Development (NPD) and Project Management
- Mechanical product design and development
- Project planning, execution, monitoring and closure
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP and NPD/NPI processes
- Experience in Mechanical & Electronic parts, PCBA, Displays, Molding Tools, Assembly Lines and Fixtures
- BOM management, engineering changes and product documentation
- Cross-functional coordination with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Toolroom, Test Labs, Sourcing, Quality and Production
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
