Bhai Jaitajee Foundation India (www.bjfindia.com) is seeking a qualified and compassionate psychologist to support the mental health and wellbeing of adolescent students (Classes 9 to 12) in our residential academic programme living away from home in a demanding academic environment, providing individual and group psychological support.
Responsibilities:
· Provide individual counselling to students
· Conduct psychological assessment and screening, and identify students requiring referral to a psychiatrist or clinical specialist
· Design and run preventive wellbeing programmes including stress management, study–life balance, peer relationships and emotional regulation
· Maintain confidential case records and student records in line with professional and ethical standards
· Advise wardens, teachers and management on the psychological wellbeing of students, and support them in recognising early warning signs
· Liaise with parents, teachers, mentors and administration where a student's wellbeing requires it
· Lead the student and alumni mentoring programme, sustaining the support relationship as students transition from the residential programme into college and professional life
· Provide support to the mentors
Requirements
· Bachelor’s or associate degree in Psychology,
preferably Clinical or Counselling Psychology. Master's degree in Psychology will be a strong advantage
· RCI registration (or eligibility for registration) will be preferred
· Minimum 2 years of professional practice, preferably with adolescents or in an educational institute
· Working knowledge of psychological assessment tools, therapeutic techniques and adolescent developmental psychology
· Demonstrated understanding of professional ethics, confidentiality and safeguarding obligations when working with minors
· Excellent active listening, communication and interpersonal skills
· Social perceptiveness and sensitivity to non-verbal cues
· Fluent in Punjabi, English and Hindi
The position requires an understanding of BJFI's history, vision, values, policies and procedures.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
