We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to manage and supervise the complete production operations of our spices manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, machine utilization, raw material consumption, production efficiency, quality coordination, wastage control, and timely completion of production targets.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in spices, food processing, FMCG, masala, seasoning or similar manufacturing industries. Experience with processes such as cleaning, grinding, blending, sieving and packing will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on sales/order requirements.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timelines.
- Plan manpower, machinery and production resources effectively.
- Monitor production output, productivity and machine utilization.
- Ensure smooth execution of production activities from raw material processing to finished goods packing.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take timely corrective action.

2. Spice Manufacturing Operations

- Supervise production processes such as:
- Raw material cleaning
- Sorting/grading
- Roasting, wherever applicable
- Grinding
- Blending/mixing
- Sieving
- Batch preparation
- Packing and labeling
- Ensure production is carried out as per approved formulations, batch specifications and SOPs.
- Monitor process parameters and maintain consistency of product quality.

3. Manpower Management

- Supervise Production Supervisors, Operators, Helpers and contract workers.
- Prepare shift-wise manpower allocation and work schedules.
- Monitor employee productivity, attendance, discipline and performance.
- Train employees on SOPs, hygiene, safety and machine handling.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower and reduce idle time.

4. Quality & Food Safety





- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI and company food-safety requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for raw material, in-process and finished-product quality checks.
- Ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness of the production area.
- Ensure adherence to approved recipes, specifications and SOPs.
- Immediately report and resolve quality deviations, rejections and process issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions wherever required. (FICSI)

5. Raw Material & Wastage Control

- Monitor consumption of spices, ingredients and packaging materials.
- Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials.
- Monitor production yield and process losses.
- Minimize wastage, rejection, rework and material losses.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments to ensure timely availability of materials.

6. Machine & Maintenance Coordination

- Ensure production machinery is available and operational.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance and breakdowns.
- Monitor machine downtime and take measures to improve machine efficiency.
- Ensure proper cleaning and safe operation of production equipment.

7. Cost & Productivity Improvement

- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Improve manpower productivity and machine utilization.
- Reduce wastage, downtime and production losses.
- Implement continuous improvement, 5S and process-efficiency initiatives.

8. Production Documentation & MIS

- Maintain daily production reports and batch records.
- Prepare reports for:
- Production vs. target




- Raw material consumption
- Production yield
- Wastage
- Machine downtime
- Manpower productivity
- Rejection/rework
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly production reports to management.
- Ensure production documentation is complete and audit-ready.

9. Coordination with Other Departments

Coordinate closely with:

- Purchase
- Stores
- Quality / QA / QC
- Maintenance
- PPC
- Packaging
- Dispatch / Warehouse
- Sales
- Accounts and HR

Ensure smooth flow of materials, production and finished goods.

Required Qualification

- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Production, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Candidates with relevant manufacturing experience and solid hands-on production knowledge may also be considered.

Experience

- 5–10 years of experience in Production / Manufacturing.
- Experience in Spices, Masala, Food Processing, FMCG or similar manufacturing industry preferred.
- Experience managing production teams and shop-floor operations is essential.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
