LCL Operations Executive – Import & Export

About the Company

We are a UK-based company operating in the Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics and Warehousing sector. We are looking for an experienced LCL Operations Executive to join our team at our CBD Belapur office.

Job Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day LCL import and export operations.
- Coordinate with overseas agents for LCL consolidation shipments.
- Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, co-loaders, CFS and transporters.
- Handle India and overseas LCL shipments from booking to final delivery.
- Receive and verify pre-alert documents from overseas agents.
- Prepare and check shipment documentation.
- Coordinate for shipping instructions, House Bill of Lading (HBL) and Master Bill of Lading (MBL).
- Coordinate with the CFS/warehouse for cargo arrival, de-stuffing and clearance.
- Monitor shipment status and ensure timely updates to customers and agents.
- Follow up with shipping lines, agents and other service providers.
- Coordinate with the customs clearance team for import/export shipments.
- Prepare and maintain shipment files and operational records.
- Check freight and local charges and coordinate with the accounts team for billing.
- Prepare cost sheets and ensure all shipment-related costs are captured correctly.
- Coordinate with the documentation team for timely submission of documents.
- Handle shipment-related queries and resolve operational issues.




- Update shipment details in the company's ERP/operations system.
- Ensure timely invoicing and job closure.
- Maintain proper communication with customers, overseas agents and internal teams.
- Perform other operational duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in LCL Operations / Freight Forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of LCL Import and Export operations.
- Experience in handling consolidation shipments.
- Good knowledge of shipping and freight-forwarding documentation.
- Experience coordinating with overseas agents, shipping lines, CFS and transporters.
- Knowledge of HBL, MBL, pre-alerts, arrival notices and shipment documentation.
- Good knowledge of LCL processes and shipment tracking.
- Experience with freight-forwarding ERP/software will be an advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to handle multiple shipments and meet deadlines.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in LCL Sea Operations, Import/Export, Cross Trade, Consolidation or Freight Forwarding will be preferred.

Experience with India–UK / UK–India shipments or working with international agents will be an added advantage.

Qualification

Graduate / B.Com / Logistics or relevant qualification.
