ISP Engineer

Location: Siliguri, West Bengal
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹28,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated ISP Engineer to join our team in Siliguri. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting ISP network infrastructure, ensuring network uptime, resolving connectivity issues, and supporting day-to-day network operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and maintain ISP network infrastructure and connectivity.
- Troubleshoot network, bandwidth, routing, and connectivity-related issues.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, OLTs, ONUs/ONTs, and other networking equipment.
- Handle customer and field-team escalations related to internet connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, uptime, bandwidth utilization, and link status.
- Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of MikroTik/Cisco devices.
- Work with fiber and wireless network teams for fault resolution.
- Identify and resolve network outages and performance issues within defined timelines.
- Maintain network documentation, configurations, and incident reports.
- Coordinate with upstream providers, NOC, and field engineers when required.




- Participate in preventive maintenance and network expansion activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in ISP, NOC, networking, or telecom operations preferred.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, NAT, Routing, and Subnetting.
- Hands-on experience with MikroTik routers is preferred.
- Knowledge of PPPoE, OSPF, BGP, and basic network monitoring will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of FTTH, GPON, OLT, ONU/ONT, and fiber networks.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts/on-call situations when required.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
